Formats & what to expect

Four ways to spend a session

Every format below is informational and non-medical. They differ mostly in length and how much is written down, so you can choose what suits the way you like to learn.

The four formats

Pick the shape that fits your day

Conversation

Introductory chat

A relaxed, roughly half-hour conversation about movement patterns and how a simple session might be arranged around your week. No commitment of any kind.

  • Plain-language overview
  • Time for your questions
  • A short written recap
One to one

Guided session

A single, unhurried session that walks through one or two movement patterns with attention to balance, breathing and a comfortable pace.

  • One coach, one participant
  • Movement rehearsed slowly
  • Notes to take home
Written

Personalised outline

A written, non-medical session outline reflecting the patterns you would like to practise, structured so it is easy to follow on your own time.

  • Clear, readable layout
  • Based on your stated interests
  • Yours to revisit freely
Over weeks

Optional program theme

A light, multi-week theme that keeps a small set of movements in gentle rotation, with weekly notes to keep things organised.

  • Flexible, opt-in pacing
  • One theme at a time
  • Easy to pause

No surprises

What a first session usually feels like

Calm, conversational and unrushed. We begin by listening, then introduce a single movement and explore it gently. You set the pace throughout.

We listen first

You describe what you are curious about; we suggest a starting point.

We keep it light

One pattern, practised slowly, with breaks whenever you would like them.

We write it down

You leave with a plain summary you can read again later.

A sample structure

0–5 min

Settle in and talk through how you are feeling today.

5–15 min

Gentle warm-up and introduce one movement pattern.

15–25 min

Rehearse calmly, with rests whenever they help.

25–30 min

Wind down, recap and note a few takeaways together.

Simple preparation

Nothing complicated to organise

Comfortable clothes

Whatever lets you move and feel at ease.

Some water

A bottle to sip between movements.

Your questions

Anything you have wondered about movement.

An open mind

Curiosity is genuinely all that is needed.

Honesty about fit

When a session is, and is not, the right call

We would rather be clear up front. These sessions are general and educational, so they suit some moments better than others.

A good fit when

You are curious about everyday movement and would like a calm, informational introduction.

Not the right fit when

You are seeking treatment, rehabilitation or advice about a specific health condition — a qualified professional is the right starting point there.
